Laura grew up in Ft Worth, TX in a tight-knit family, where hard work was a daily reality. A strong work ethic was instilled by helping with family business (flipping houses) and working on her grandparents' 10-acre farm. Tasks included watering & gardening, conducting general maintenance on the property, caring for animals, assisting with building a barbed wire fence, and refurbishing an old home.
This same grandmother, Kathleen Rouse, was a successful independent real estate broker in Ft. Worth, and Laura spent many days in her real estate office, as a young girl, playing with her sister and brother on the old type-writer. She and both of her siblings are all independent business owners now, and she was a tremendous influence. Her other grandmother, Maude John, taught Laura how to sew; still a favorite hobby.
At the age of 10 or 11, Laura also knocked doors in town, with her girlfriend, providing lawn care services. She always excelled, attending public school, and going on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a specialty in Accounting, from University of Texas at Arlington.
Laura went on to marry and have three daughters, with whom she had the privilege of staying home and raising. After 15 years of being a homemaker, after children were all in school, she earned her real estate license and won the Rising Star award for reaching $1M in sales, her first year in the business. She has been a multi-million dollar producer every year, going on to open Las Cruces Real Estate, a unique, boutique, concierge brokerage, in February 2013.
Laura enjoys working with clients, assisting with navigating their real estate needs, as well as running a quality property management business. In her free time, she enjoys all of those things listed in her short bio.
